privacy

Walking Memory doesn't collect any personal data.

your memories

They are saved only on your iPhone, in the app's own folder, which you can see in the Files app. They are never uploaded anywhere. You can export them yourself as JSON or as a web page; where those go is up to you.

location

If you allow it, Walking Memory uses your approximate position, to the nearest kilometre, to fetch the weather, so it can show rain when it was raining where you were, and to name the place a memory was pinned in.

Those coordinates go to Apple, through Apple's own weather and geocoding services, and nowhere else. Walking Memory never stores your coordinates or sends anything to us; beside each memory it keeps only the name of the town it was pinned in and the temperature there, on your iPhone. You can turn location off at any time in Settings; the app works without it, and simply has no weather.
